The material story
From forest to bag, from bag to recycling
The Paptic bag lifecycle is designed to be sustainable end to end. The material grows in Finnish forests and returns to recycling with the cardboard stream.
Finnish forest
FSC-certified wood fiber from northern forests. Renewable raw material, responsibly managed.
Fiber material
Paptic material is made from wood fiber. Soft, durable, and moisture-resistant without plastic coating.
Finished bag
Bags are printed and tailored for your business. Shopping bags, mailers, and premium packaging.
Recycling
The bag recycles with the cardboard stream. According to Paptic Oy, fibers can be recycled up to 7 times. The material is also biodegradable.
EU packaging waste regulation changes everything
The PPWR regulation takes effect on 12 August 2026. Certain single-use plastic packaging will be banned outright. Non-compliant packaging can cause supply-chain disruptions and a loss of customer trust.
